South Carolina doctor accused of inappropriate conduct with patients

Dr. Titus Daniel Caddell from Greenville, South Carolina was accused of fondling five of his patients between 1987 and 2011. Dr. Caddell had a family practice in Travelers Rest. According to his attorney, the accusations were made by patients who were denied pills due to the fact they were selling the pills given to them. The victims said that during the course of routine medical appointments, such a flu shots, a physical, and a prescription refill, the doctor was particularly focused on the patient’s breasts and would touch them without any medical need. Dr. Caddell was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and battery and three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. His license was temporarily suspended, but later reinstated with conditions, including having a female chaperone when meeting female patients. In 2013, the charges against Dr. Caddell were dismissed after he completed a pre-trial intervention program. The program is designed for first-time offenders charged with non-violent crimes.
