Allentown Plastic Surgeon Settles Lawsuit Alleging Sexual Assault

A civil suit and formal complaint to the Medical Board of Pennsylvania were filed against plastic surgeon Dr. John Altobelli, claiming that he made unwanted sexual advances during a post-operation appointment. The Allentown doctor was accused of inappropriate touching and kissing the victim, as well as suggesting they begin an affair. The victim alleged that the doctor called her twice a few days later and verbally harassed her. The lawsuit, brought by the victim and her husband, sought a total of $400,000 in damages and was settled before going to trial. Dr. Altobelli’s Pennsylvania license was put on probation, and he was asked to surrender his New York license.
