Former OSH employee accused of abusing patients pleads no contest

Tony Martinez, a former employee of the Oregon State Hospital, pleaded guilty to two counts of custodial sexual misconduct in the first degree and one count of sexual misconduct in the second degree. He was sentenced to four months of house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet, followed by three years of supervised probation.

Martinez, 44, was arrested last April was arrested after a secret indictment was issued following allegations he sexually abused two different women at Oregon State Hospital.

The indictment stated Martinez had deviate sexual contact with a female patient at OHS between June 1, 2012 and Nov. 30 2013 while he was an employee. He also engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a different female patient between Nov. 30 and Dec. 30, 2012.

Martinez resigned from OHS on Sept. 20, 2014.
