Timothy Catlett, 49, a former hospital worker at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Illinois has been charged with sexually abusing a patient last summer. His charges include five counts of criminal sexual abuse.
Catlett was arrested on March 6, posted bond on March 12 and is next due in court on April 9.
The victim is a 30-year-old man who said Catlett assaulted him the night between August 9 and August 10, when he was in the hospital because of a suicide attempt.
The victim said to police Catlett demanded he perform a sexual act on Catlett and then on himself.
Catlett no longer works at Presence St. Joseph Hospital. His charges carry penalties of up to three years and registering as a sex offender.
