Oregon Nurse alleged to have sexually assaulted multiple women, hospital faces civil lawsuit

Former Emergency Room nurse Jeffrey McAllister is accused of sexually abusing multiple women while working at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in North Portland. McAllister was fired in April, 2013 and was arrested soon after in July. The hospital is being sued in civil court for negligence when it ignored patients who complained about McAllister’s actions.

Update: Jeffrey McAllister pleaded guilty and admitted taking advantage of women when he was working at Legacy Emanuel’s emergency room and has accepted a plea deal for 15 years in prison. The focus now shifts to the civil trials, where two women have already settled suits against Legacy Emanuel, while six others await trial.

McAllister previously worked as a police officer in Beaverton before resigning after unintentionally firing his weapon while on duty.
