Lannie Haszard, an EMT for 16 years, pled guilty to molesting nine female patients in his ambulance over a 6-year period. His employer, American Medical Response, was sued in civil court and was found to have been negligent for allowing Mr. Haszard to continue working despite multiple complaints about his behavior from female patients. The case went to trial and the plaintiff won $3.85 million, including attorney fees.
