Alabama Psychologist Loses His License and is Forced to Retire After Trading Meds for Sexual Favors

Allie Boyd, a Tuscaloosa psychiatrist, was forced to retire or face a loss of his license after he sexually assaulted five patients. Boyd offered prescritpion drugs for sexual favors and sometimes groped his patients. He would also threaten to withdraw prescriptions if anyone spoke up about the abuse. HIs medical license was eventually revoked by the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners, however no criminal charges were pressed against Boyd and for a time he continued to practice at his private clinic.
